Raw Vegan Pre and Post Workout Snacks

Hello everyone! In today’s blog post you will learn what to eat before and after a workout.

Pre-Workout

For a pre-workout snack, you will want something light.

If your workout begins within 2 hours, drink a light protein smoothie.

Use non-dairy milk, protein powder, banana, and greens. Blend in a blender and enjoy!

If your workout beings within an hour, eat a banana and raw trail mix.

Here’s an easy raw trail mix recipe:

1 C OF PUMPKIN SEEDS

1 CUP OF SUNFLOWER SEEDS

1 CUP OF CASHEWS

1 CUP OF WALNUTS

1 CUP OF ALMONDS

RAISINS (OPTIONAL)

SOAK NUTS OVERNIGHT IN SEPARATE BOWLS

RINSE UNTIL CLEAR

ADD A PINCH OF SEA SALT

PUT NUTS ONTO A COOKIE SHEET AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE SEPARATED

POP IN DEHYDRATOR OR OVEN AT THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE FOR NUTS TO DRY, NOT COOK

Post-Workout

After a workout, you will want something that is easily digested and packed with nutrients.

After your workout, make a Mint Special Smoothie

2 FROZEN BANANAS
3 TABLESPOONS RAW CACAO (cacao is a superfood!)
1 TABLESPOON RAW CACAO NIBS

3/4-1 TEASPOON ORGANIC PEPPERMINT EXTRACT

1 3/4 CUP NON-DAIRY MILK

1 TABLESPOON RAW PROTEIN POWDER
