Hello everyone! In this week’s blog post, I will share two DIY garden pesticide recipes.
DIY Garden Pesticides
Gardening is a calming, fun, and rewarding hobby, but it can become difficult if pests arrive. According to Grit.com, the most common garden pests are:
Slugs
Squash bugs
Aphids
Imported cabbageworms
Squash vine borers
Japanese beetles
Tomato hornworms
Cutworms
Grasshoppers
Cucumber beetles
If any of the bugs listed above have been attracted to your lovely garden, use this soap spray recipe to get rid of them.
1.5 teaspoons of a mild soap
4 cups of water
Add to a spray bottle, shake, and apply to your plants before the sun rises, or after it sets.
Another option is to purchase a neem oil spray or make your own neem oil spray.
2 teaspoons neem oil
1 teaspoon mild soap
4 cups water
Just add everything into a spray bottle and spray on your plants before the sun rises, or after it sets.
