First Impressions

I bought the SodaStream bundle which came with 3 bottles, two canisters, and two natural favors. It came in a rather large box but was really easy to set up. The simple setup included removing the plastic cap, inserting the CO2 canister from the bottom of the machine, and then twisting it in.

Pros

  • It’s better for the environment

  • SodaStream has a canister exchange program.

There are a few really great pros to getting a SodaStream. First of all, it is better for the environment. Most people who enjoy carbonated water buy it in plastic bottles which we know is not good for the planet. SodaStream has a canister exchange program which makes this device a million times more eco-friendly.

Cons

  • You have to buy refill canisters almost every month

There is only one con on my list. That is that you have to buy new canisters of CO2 every month. Depending on the size of your family, you may have to get refills more often. A pack of two canisters on Amazon is $64.99.

Final Thoughts

Though it does get a little pricy, I recommend the SodaStream Fizzi to anyone that enjoys carbonated water but wants something more environmentally friendly.

SodaStream Add-In Ideas

Here are a few things you can add to your SodaStream carbonated water:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Balsamic vinegar (I recommend Lemon White Balsamic and Cascadian Rasberry White Balsamic but any balsamic you like would do)

  • 1 teaspoon of Alive n Vibrant’s Berry and Superfruit Powder (if you are okay with a bit of grittiness)

  • Lemon juice

  • Lime juice
