1) Haircare looks different for everyone, but what is the one thing you would recommend that everyone do to keep their hair healthy?

Healthy hair starts from the inside, not the outside. If your hair is unhealthy looking, look at your diet.

Often people want a quick fix, not realizing true beauty starts within including your hair.

The first step is to start unprocessing your diet. After that, I recommend implementing omega 3 into their diets. This will help nourish your hair and your skin. Omega 3 can be found in chia, hemp, and flax seeds. You can add ground these and add them to smoothies or on your salads.

2) What are some ways to nourish your hair at home?

Use clean hair products. I love Neuma. They have zero synthetic fragrances, are gluten-free, carcinogen-free.

Also, if you color your hair, be sure to use organic hair color. This is what I use on my clients. I want what is best for them long term.

 3) What ingredients should people look out for in their hair products?

Stay away from Gluten if you have any sensitivities or allergies to gluten. Remember what you put on the outside is absorbed inside.

Also stay away from soy, petrolatum, formaldehyde, and synthetic fragrances which are neurotoxins. Neurotoxins are toxins that destroy your central nervous system. They build up over time and most people don’t do detoxes so they continue to build up.

4) Are there natural ways to make your hair grow faster?

Excellent question and I get this one a lot. The average individual hair grows ¼ to a ½ inch monthly. It depends on diet, stress, and heat. When I lived in the south, it was warmer climate most of the year. My hair grew faster. Now that I live in the north, my hair grows slower most of the year. However, if a person sweats a lot, I find this individual’s hair does grow faster. I find this fascinating.

It’s key to remember everything starts within. If you have acne, it’s internal. There is a disruption going on that is showing up on the outside. One person may gain weight, one can’t poop while the other gets headaches.

 5) What is your favorite hair care product?

 Neuma.
