Reducing Your Carbon Footprint With Alive n Vibrant + A Trail Mix Recipe

Hello everyone! In this blog post, I will be talking about how you can purchase Alive n Vibrant Superfood Powders and be zero waste at the same time. But first, what does being low impact/zero waste mean?

So, What is Low Impact/Zero Waste

Being low impact/zero waste is essentially about reducing your impact on the planet. Zero waste is a bit different than a low impact lifestyle. Zero waste people intend to completely eliminate anything that would end up in a landfill. They reuse, recycle, and compost everything they can. Low impact means you try to impact the environment as little as possible, but are a bit less strict than zero waste people. A low impact lifestyle may be more practical for people wanting to reduce their carbon footprint but aren’t ready to completely commit to going zero waste.

Small Things You Can Do To Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

  1. Go Vegan (or mostly plant-based)

Researchers from The University of Oxford found that eliminating meat and dairy products from your diet could reduce your carbon footprint by 73 percent.

  2. Buy in Bulk

Buying food in bulk is a great way to reduce waste. When you buy in bulk it is much cheaper and you often end up using less packaging.

  3. Compost

Composting is another great way to reduce waste. Composting is especially good if you have a garden. Once you start composting, you can stop buying fertilizer and nourish your plants with the waste that would usually end up in the landfill.
